Leaving Wales in the late 1970s to follow a short term career in the Royal Navy as an Electronics Engineer and later as an IT Engineer for a large legal firm and more recently as a self employed videographer, I have always been interested in nature and was, as a child, lucky to have seen our great countryside, with an abundance of animals, birds and wild meadows. Many hours were spent by the riversides of South Wales whiling away the day or watching large flocks of lapwing that seemed to blanket the fields opposite our home. After 39 years of living away from my home country, we decided that it was time for us to return home and we moved to the Brecon area in 2017. As a keen self taught photographer, the Hills, Mountains, Woods and Rivers of our lovely country are our new canvas along with all the wildlife that lives in the wilderness.

Coming from an electronics background, I am keen to develop remote photography skills using high quality quality cameras to produce images, that are not only difficult to achieve, but more importantly reduce disturbance to wildlife. Traditional tracking skills and fieldcraft still have to be followed and when everything falls into place the results can be amazing.
